In this project, I reimagined The Stanley Parable’s prologue as a typographic motion graphic video. This project explored various ways type can move, while also matching motion with audio.
I gathered a list of words that came to mind so I could formalize a sense of direction and created a moodboard. Then, I started creating rough sketches of particular motions and imagery. I developed these sketches into the initial storyboard, establishing a basic timeline and order of events.
From my sketches and outside feedback, I realized that the colors and type choices were not speaking the corporate and retro feel I wanted so I tweaked the color palette. I also reduced the total amount of font families I used throughout to create a cleaner look. With these major changes decided, I refined the quality of my sketches and created storyboards, defining precisely the motions and scenes.
